In the Reckankomplex, there are two spaces devoted to music-making; the Mathlab and the Tracking Room.

The Mathlab does triple-duty as my bedroom, my studio, and the offices/warehouse of Mimaroglu Music Sales. There are two workstations; one for Digital Audio / Transcription and a smaller one for my Analog / Live Music setup. When I'm not travelling, I've been known to spend my entire day in here. I call it home. Sometimes I feel the walls closing in on me - other times they expand towards the infinite... it all depends on how much espresso I've had that day.

The basement of the Reckankomplex is otherwise known as the Tracking Room, although it hasn't seen much use recently due to flooding (as the the Reckankomplex is situated at the bottom of a hill; the water table on occasion rises through the basement floor.) This is usually where I record loud instruments or most things that need to be amplified. The walls have been sound-proofed to some extent, so it's possible to record drums and sometimes even full bands down there. It's cold in the winter, but in the summer it's just right. Visitors have dubbed it "Spidertown USA" due to the amount of creepy crawlies down there, and even though I hate spiders this has never bothered me.
